Absailing was lots of fun! It was the 6th or 7th day and i couldent wait to get home to my family and give them the gifts i bought them in the souq (arabian markets). i brought my brother i kanjar which is an Omani knife with a curve. it has the curve because when the Omani hunters and soldures bent down to pray the knife would have stabbed them.
Anyway, it was an early morning and everyone was tired. We had a very cold breakfast of cerial, and the milk was nearly frozen! We then packed up our tent and got in the 4 weel drives with our guides. Me and my friends, Keeghan and Vasco, were promissed the car with music, but we didn’t have very high hopes concidering the the other boys were also told the same thing! But eventually they said that we could use it. I was glad that we did because last time the girls got the car, and our teacher cept playing Bob Marly and nothing else! Do you know how anoying that is!
So after a very quick drive through the mountians, we came to a cliff. There we saw 3 Brittish instructers wating for us. We hopped out of our car eagerly and packed a lunch into our backpacks, put on our harneses, most had trouble, but not me, because back in Canada (thats were I am from) I was part of a rock climbing club. I put on my harness and got an ok from one of the instructors. I then wated for some other poeple to be done so I would have someone to talk to.
After a few minutes of wating the instructors finially got everyone ready and we were off. Me and Vasco were in the front as usuial. After a small walk down the side of the cliff, we came to a small flat piece of rock. We stood there for a few moments as the two instructors who were with us were calling to a differen’t instructor(Big Al was his name) down below. The instructor asked if one of us would like to go first. I was experienced so I raised my hand.
Sorry not finished yet. small problem occoured.
